Vincent Michalak's Obituary
Vincent E. Michalak, 90, of Sebring passed away Monday, December 18, 2017. Mr. Michalak was born June 28, 1927 in Peru, IL to Vincent and Josephine (Schneidt) Michalak. He was a U.S. Navy, WWII Veteran, serving in the South Pacific. Vincent retired from LTV and Mittal Steel before moving to Sebring. He was a member of the Church of The Redeemer in Avon Park and the Orchid Society of Highlands County. Survivors include his special companion of 11 years, Gladys Morgan; children, James Michalak, Rosemary & David Meyer, John & Carey Michalak, Eileen Billhymer and Jay & Lisa Michalak; sister, Doris Markley; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Vincent was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Arlene; son, Jeffrey; brothers, Donald, Jerry and Tom and 2 grandchildren.
