Mr Thelbert E. Coleman's Obituary
Thelbert E. Coleman, age 83, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on June 16, 1931 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Thelbert and Lillian (Edwards) Coleman. Thelbert served our country with the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He had been a resident of Sebring since 1996 coming from Factoryville, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Sebring Christian Church, Leonard Wood #105 Masonic Lodge - representative of the Philippines (Life Member); Poinciana Lodge #217 F&AM-Avon Park; Keystone Consistory Valley of Scranton Scottish Rites Bodies; and Sergeant’s Association. Thelbert is survived by his wife of 8 years: Marjorie Platt Coleman, daughter: Linda Coleman Seslar (Patrick)-Sebring, FL; sister: Annette Huss-Mt. Holly, NC, granddaughter: Erin Payne Bennett (William)-NH, two great-granddaughters: Adria and Alya Bennett. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Doris Richards Coleman and daughter: Kim Coleman. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, 2:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Tod Swindel officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm. Entombment will take place immediately following the service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, FL
