Mrs. Rosemary B. Dunwoody's Obituary
Rosemary B. Dunwoody, 91, passed away on May 6, 2014 under the care of family and Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL. Mrs. Dunwoody was born on February 10, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Daniel Howard McGinn and Myrtle (Ward) McGinn. She moved to Sebring in 1954 and spent the last 6 ½ years in Gainesville, FL. Preceded in death by her beloved husbands Harold Deck and Franklin Dunwoody. She attended St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Sebring and Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gainesville, FL. She loved to travel and participated in many exciting adventures; Rosemary was an excellent cook and enjoyed her weekly bunko club while she resided in Sebring. She is survived by her loving children: James Deck (Joanie) of Ellijay, GA, Timothy Deck (Ody) of Kissimmee, FL, Harold Deck (Sandra) of Gainesville, FL, Dale Brose-White of Sebring, FL, Susan Butts (Bob) of Gainesville, FL, Barbara Kirby(Eric Schwartz) of Gainesville, FL, stepsons Harry Dunwoody(Penny) and Chuck Dunwoody(Diane) both of Lafayette, IN; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on May 31 @10:00 am, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Gainesville, FL. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Sacred Heart.
