Mr. Roland Odom's Obituary
Roland Odom, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Winter Haven, FL on May 1, 1925 to Harvey Helton and Ruby (Childs) Odom. He retired from Sebring Utilities and was self employed as an electrician; of the Pentecostal faith; served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; he enjoyed his work and family; he was a resident of Sebring since 1948 coming from Frostproof, FL.
He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Taylor (Hal) and Dianne Haralson (Will), both of Sebring; Brother, Raymond Odom and sister, Marie Smith, both of Frostproof; grandchildren, Eric Haralson, Sherry Pearce, Anthony Padgett, Angela Padgett, Christopher Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Tina Taylor Albelo, Dawn Taylor Tucker, and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude (Bryan) Odom and his sister, Lillian Dupree.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013, with military Honors, at 2:00 PM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Brandt Livingston officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
