Richard A. Couture's Obituary
COUTURE, Richard A., 87, of Sebring passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1927 in Somersworth, NH to Philias and Lucia (Charette) Couture. Mr. Couture served in the U.S. Navy and was a foreman in the Portsmouth Naval Ship-yard in New Hampshire. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, and Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal. He came to Sebring 16 years ago from Dover, NH and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and loved playing the organ. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Juliette T. Couture; daughter, Elaine Tinker, son-in-law, David, of Sebago, ME; 2 grandchild-ren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great- grand-child. He is also survived by his brother, Leo Couture of Farmington, NH and sisters, Lucille Frechette (Roland) of Somersworth, NH and Pauline Marcoux (Richard) of Sebring. A memorial service will be held at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, 4:00 PM with Father Jose Gonzales as Celebrant. Condolences may be expressed by visiting TBO.com.
