Ralph Walden's Obituary
Ralph H. Walden, age 86, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2016 in Avon Park, FL. He was born on December 23, 1929 in Daleville, AL to Roy and Zama (Whigham) Walden. Ralph had been a resident of Avon Park since 1968 having come from Orlando, FL. He served in the U. S. Army during Korea and later worked as a Librarian. Ralph was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He liked gardening, reading, Nascar, football, and was proud of his recycling, tennis, and boxing. Ralph loved Bluegrass music, Alabama Football, and fast cars. He was a member of Toastmasters and the Gavel Club. Ralph is survived by his children: Cindy Mungall (Dennis) of Avon Park, FL; Mark Walden of Avon Park, FL; Dale Walden (Cynthia) of Manassas, VA; Kevin Walden (Kris) of Aztec, NM; brother: Relious Walden (Beverley) of Apopka, FL; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Nell Walden. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park.
