Kathy Ann Rowland's Obituary
Kathy Ann Rowland passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was born in Elkader, Iowa, April 2, 1968, to Harry L. and Karen Ann Crane Heins, Sr. In 1976 she moved to Avon Park with her mother and brother. She graduated salutatorian of the 1986 class at Avon Park High School. She attended Florida College in Gainesville and moved to Okeechobee in 1988. She was employed as a paralegal for many years with Gerald Lefebvre.
Baseball pre-season games were some of her favorite things to do and she made many lasting friendships while attending the Cardinal games in Jupiter.
Kathy was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Phillip Charles and Victor Allen Heins; step-father, Richard Nealis; and sister-in-law, Donna Nealis. She is survived by Arthur Daigneault, her companion of 14 years; father, Harry L. Heins, Sr. of Monona, IA; mother, Karen C. Nealis of Avon Park; brother, Harry L. (Beth) Heins, Jr. of Monona, IA; step-brothers, James (Arlene) Nealis of Okeechobee, Mark (Linda) Nealis of Avon Park, and Guy Nealis of Huntsville, TX; step-sister, Susan (Thomas) Fisher of Valrico, FL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy was special and the world will be a little sadder place without her for those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Stackhouse officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Okeechobee, P.O. Box 1548, Okeechobee, FL 34973.
