Faith A Burgess' Obituary
Faith Burgess left to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 18. She was 88 years old and passed peacefully at Health Central Park in Winter Garden, FL Services will be held at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28 at 2pm. (4001 Sebring Parkway, Sebring, FL 33870) Faith lived a life as true to her name as anyone ever could. She was a devout Pentecostal throughout her 88 years. She loved to sing hymns and pray with her close friends. Her love for the church was all-encompassing. She was born to Otis and Gertrude Taylor as Faith Anna Taylor in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1928. She married Harland Hawk in 1947 and had her three daughters Belinda, Donna and Wanda. After she was widowed, she met and married Haywood Burgess. They decided to relocate to Florida in 1967. Haywood and Faith moved to Lake Placid, Florida where they lived surrounded by friends and loved ones. She loved card games, word searches, jigsaw puzzles, Poppycock and pranks. She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Stodtko and Wanda Wood, her seven grandchildren, Matthew & Kimberly Hawk, Timothy & Stephanie Massey, David & Paula Wood, Didi & Sonny Martz, Mishal Wood, Darrick & Heather Prinzel, Michael & Rachael Stodtko and Katherine Stodtko and, her twenty-three great-grandchildren Darren, Megan, Gabriel, Emily, Louis, & Trevor Wood, Isabel & Ethan Wood, Paige & Jillian Martz, Zander, Grady, Dylan & Jordan Prinzel, Benjamin & Abraham Stodtko, Delaney Stodtko, Matthew Jr. & Amanda Hawk and Timothy Jr., Ashley, Dylan & Savanah Massey and her four great-great-grandchildren, Colton & Harmony Ammons, Rowan Hawk, Kalli Hawk. She will be met in heaven by Harland Hawk, Haywood Burgess, Louis Wood, Belinda Hawk & Daniel Wood.
