Ellen Martin's Obituary
MARTIN, Ellen V, age, 77, Avon Park, Florida passed away on March 6, 2016 under the loving care of her family in Apopka, Florida. Mrs. Martin was born on September 30, 1938 in Manila, Philippines to her parents Francisco and Amada Velasco. Mrs. Martin was a retired Clinical Dietitian for Florida Hospital Heartland in Sebring, Florida. She and her husband moved to Avon Park in 1981 from Armona, California and were members of the Avon Park Seventh Day Adventist Church in Avon Park, Florida. She enjoyed music, playing the piano, entertaining and being very active in her church. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years: Carlos Martin of Avon Park, FL; daughters: Jennifer (Kevin) Shull and Genevieve DeBoard both of Apopka, FL; brothers: Nemy Velasco of Dayton, OH, Abner Velasco of Murrieta, CA and Frank Velasco of Dublin, CA; sisters: Lily Bascon of Glendale, CA, Grace Shinn of Stockton, CA and Glady Reyes of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren: Olivia, Maxwell and Ethan and many loving nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 3:00PM at Avon Park Seventh Day Adventist Church in Avon Park, Florida.
