Mrs. Edith S. Oliver-Copenhaver's Obituary
Edith S. Oliver, age 91, passed away on February 5, 2014, in Lake Placid, FL. She was born on August 14, 1922, in Plainfield, IN, to the late William G. and Nannie (Courtney) Snapp. She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary; she loved her church and was very active there. She loved her church family like her own. She was very fortunate to have had two husbands who loved her and that she loved dearly. Her first husband: William E. Copenhaver passed away while they resided in Lafayette, LA. Later she moved to Florida to be with her family and met and married Jerry Oliver who passed away in 2008. She is survived by step-daughters: Jerri Puvogel (Cole), Lake Placid, FL; Nancy Warner (Larry), MI. Along with her husbands she was preceded in death by all of her siblings. There will be a funeral service on Monday, February 10, 2014, at 1:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, FL, with Pastor Steve Trinkle officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment to follow service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL. at the Chapel of Peace.
