Duell D. Murray's Obituary
Duell D. Murray, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 28, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on April 21, 1933 in Jasper,Alabama to the late James Wesley and Emma Lay Murray. Duell (“Dubbs”) was a veteran that served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He was a resident of Sebring since 1988, when he moved from Fort Lauderdale (he also spent a brief time in North Carolina). He was a member of Sun N Lake Country Club where he was an avid golfer. He enjoyed NASCAR, painting and woodworking – and was well known as a “jack of all trades”. He owned and operated D.D. Murray Air Conditioning in Fort Lauderdale. Duell is survived by his son: Kenneth Wayne Murray of Gainesville, FL, his daughter: Sandra Jean Taylor and husband Hank of Melbourne Beach, FL and three grandchildren: Erin Elizabeth Murray, Kenneth Wayne Murray, Jr. and Hannah Nicole Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Jean. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, 10:00am at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL. Entombment to immediately follow service.
