Diane Mildred Cronin's Obituary
Diane Mildred Cronin July 26, 1935 – July 15, 2016 Diane was a loving wife and mother of 6 children. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Gotfred and Mildred Pender. She attended Andrew Jackson High School, the St. Louis Institute of Music in St. Louis, Missouri, Trenton State College and Thomas Edison University in New Jersey. She was married to Edgar Robert Cronin on June 22, 1957 and they remained happily married for over 56 years. Diane was a piano and accordion instructor and actively involved in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in New York and New Jersey. She was the owner, director and teacher of Sandbox Tech nursery school in Princeton and Trenton, New Jersey for 18 years where she touched the lives of many students. She relocated to Sebring Florida in 1998 and taught Piano to children and adults alike. She loved to travel and always had her suitcase packed. She was a devout Roman Catholic and member of St. Catherine’s Church in Sebring Florida, where she was very active in Right to Life and Eucharistic Ministry for the home bound and hospitalized. She was also a member of the St. Catherine’s choir. She loved to cross stitch, read and swim, but most of all she loved her husband, children, grandchildren and was very excited to meet her first Great Grandchild, Hudson. She was a wonderful Mother, wife and teacher and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Edgar, her sister Blanche and her grandson Christopher. She is survived by her 6 children Kathleen (Matt), Maryanne (Jim), Virginia (Darrell), Kevin, John (Deb) and Patrick (Bridget) and 10 grandchildren Jesse, Michael, Shannon, Nicholas, Cody, Andrew, Olivia, Grant, Sarah and Libbie. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 5:00 – 7:00 pm, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. A Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, July 21, 2016, 10:00 am, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring with Father Jose Gonzalez officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL.
