David Arnold Wills' Obituary
David Arnold Wills, a dedicated and creative soul known for his adventurous spirit and artistic talents, passed away on June 27, 2024, in Avon Park, FL, at the age of 83. He was born on December 17, 1940, in Indianapolis, IN, to Harry and Louise Wills.
David lived a life filled with passion and purpose, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was a proud member of the Army National Guard and served his country with honor. Beyond his military service, David was deeply involved in various organizations and communities, including the American Motorcycle Association, NRA, Christian Motorcycle Association, and Maranatha Baptist Church.
His artistic flair shone through in everything he did; from designing and making bows, hatchets, guns, and knives to his skillful leatherwork, David's talents knew no bounds. He was affectionately known as "Mr. Fix It" in the village, always ready to lend a helping hand with his creative solutions. His love for art extended to decorating gourds and scrimshaw, showcasing his unique vision and attention to detail.
David was a loving husband to Martha A Wills (aka Toni) and a devoted father to his children Dee Ann Wills-Wallock (Barry) of Spencer, IN, and Paula C Wills (aka Chris) of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by his brother Richard L Wills (Gail) of Knoxville, TN. David was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanette Coleman and brother Robert Wills.
Family, friends, and community members alike will fondly remember David for his supportive nature and his unwavering dedication to those he cared for. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and a willingness to always lend a helping hand.
A graveside service to honor and remember David's remarkable life will be held on July 3, 2024, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, South Memorial Drive, Avon Park, FL, at 3:00 PM.
