Cordel Joyce Brown's Obituary
Cordel Joyce Brown, 78, Avon Park, Florida passed away on February 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Brown was born on December 13, 1937 in St. Thomas, Jamaica, West Indies to her parents Roman and Olivia Richardson. Mrs. Brown was a former Nursing Administrator at Jacoby Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. She and her husband Joslyn moved to Avon Park 9 years ago from Plantation Acres, Florida. She was a proud graduate of New York University with her Masters in Nursing Administration. Mrs. Brown was a member of The Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church in Avon Park, Fl. She is survived by her loving husband Joslyn A. Brown of Avon Park, FL; five sisters: Ena Richardson of Jamaica, Sybil Richardson of Jamaica, Doreen Brown of London, England, Viola Richardson of Chicago, IL and Ruby Clark of Chicago, IL and several loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 11:00AM at The Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church, 507 West Hal Mcrea Blvd in Avon Park, FL. with a Visitation to be held prior to the service from 10:00AM till the hour of service at the church. A Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Avon Park, FL. Arrangements are entrusted to Banks/Page-Theus Funerals and Cremations, Wildwood.
