Clinton A. Whitlock's Obituary
Clinton A. Whitlock, Jr., age 85, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Lake Placid, Florida. He was born on September 13, 1929 to the late Clinton A. and Mary E. (Moore) Whitlock. Clinton was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1947-1966 and spent his career as a Logistic Engineer. He moved to the area in 1995 from Hendersonville, North Carolina. He was a member of Society of Logistic Engineers and Fleet Reserve Association. He was an avid model ship builder, enjoyed traveling and had a remarkable sense of humor. A quote often heard from Clinton was “Step back and look at a job well done and appreciate your work”. Survivors include: his wife, Tana Whitlock-Sebring, FL, son, Mark Whitlock (Cate), granddaughters, Candice Taggert(Graham); Katie Pierce (Christopher), four great-grandchildren, Zoey Belle Willis; Christian Baldwin; Layla Bumgardner and Lily Pierce. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Private family services will take place. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the local VFW: American Legion Post 74, 528 N. Pine St., Sebring, FL 33870.
