Burley Revels Smith, age 59, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Sebring, FL. She was born on March 14, 1957 in Rowland, NC to the late June and Lee Berta (Freeman) Revels. Burley has been a lifetime resident of Highlands County. She worked as a medical office manager, enjoyed fishing, and loved her family. Burley was of the Pentecostal faith. She is survived by her children: Laura Kretz (Mark) of Sebring, FL; Ashley Steffner (John III) of Sebring, FL; grandchildren: Caitlynn Steffner; John Steffner IV; Grayson Steffner; siblings: Bonnie Mullens; Joe Revels; Roy Revels; Ray Revels; nephew: Buddy Mullens; and niece: Mary Ellen Swain. Burley was preceded in death by her sister: Betty Hubbard. Visitation for family and friends will held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Pentecostal Holiness Church in Avon Park. Burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
