Mrs. Betty Jane Thomas' Obituary
Betty Jane Thomas, age 65, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013 in Tampa, Fla. She was born in Scranton, Pa., on Aug. 27, 1947 to Evan R. and LaRue (Hunter) Thomas. She was the director of finance for The Palms of Sebring for 10 years, former co-owner of the Hair Gallery and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sebring. She loved her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, LaRue Thomas of Sebring; sisters, Shirley (Rick) Demeri of Sebring and Barbara (Doug) Cook of Pompton Plains, N.J.; nephews, Robert Cook, David Cook, and Eric Demeri; grand-nephews, Abram Cook and Jack Cook; and grand-nieces, Savannah Demeri and Paisley Demeri. She ws preceded in death by her nephew, Thomas Demeri.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Stephenson-Nelson Chapel
with Chaplain Cecil Hess officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time beginning at 10 a.m. Burial to follow service in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in her memory to your favorite charity.
