Arnold Whitehead's Obituary
Arnold Whitehead, age 80, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on May 15, 1935 in Tazewell County, Virginia to the late Henry Frazier and Gladys Irene (Owens) Whitehead. Arnold moved to Sebring in 2011 coming from Elverson, Pennsylvania, he was a member of Missionary Baptist Church. He loved to play musical instruments, fishing, baseball, working outside in his yard and helping others. He dearly loved his family. Arnold will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Survivors include, his daughters, Debra Smith-Sebring, FL and Susan Avery (Michael)-New Holland, PA, siblings, Ronnie Dean Whitehead (Mary) –Pomeroy, PA; Virginia Hope Whitehead-Downingtown, PA; Peggy Ann Huff (Bobby)-Detroit, MI; Clinton O’dell Whitehead-Christiana, PA and Brenda Carol Stamper (Rodney)-Delta, PA, grandchildren, Angela Lawruk; Bridget Smith; Juan Santiago and Jonathan Santiago, great-grandchildren, Preston DeCento; Michael Lawruk and Joseph Masone, III. Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Whitehead and siblings, Wally Wells; Shirley Marie Robins; Dixie Lee Blunt; Henry Frazier Whitehead and Oscar Levi Whitehead. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 3:00pm, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Sebring with Matt Stamper and Rodney Stamper officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will take place immediately following the service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, Florida.
