Mr. Alvin J. Creech's Obituary
Alvin J. Creech, age 84, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 in Avon Park, Florida. He was born on August 13, 1930 in Dry Branch, West Virginia to the late Joseph B. and Nancy D. (Caudell) Creech. He worked as a machine repairman for Rockwell in Newark, OH for 32 years, then as a school bus driver for eight years for the Lakewood School District. Alvin has been a resident of Avon Park since 1992 having come from Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and attended the Florida Avenue Baptist Church. Alvin is survived by his wife: Joyce Creech of Avon Park, daughters: Beverly Haynes (Floyd) of Avon Park, Tammy Reed (Levi) of Avon Park, sons: Tom Creech (Pam) of Reynoldsburg, OH, Mark Creech (Darla) of Frazeysburg, OH, sister: Wanda Kaneday of St. Albans, WV, brother: Wilmer Creech of Alum Creek, WV, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park; with a funeral service officiated by Reverend John Girdley to follow at 2 p.m. Interment will then be held at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
